1. 체신경계(SNS: somatic nervous system)는 피부(skin), 골격근(skeletal muscle), 뼈(bone) 등에 분포한다.
The somatic nervous system(SNS) is located in skin and skeletal muscles, bones.
2. 자율신경계(ANS: autonomic nervous system)는 교감신경계와 비교감신경계, 장신경계로 세분된다.
The autonomic nervous system(ANS) has three branches: the sympathetic nervous system, the parasympathetic nervous system and the enteric nervous system.
3. 중추신경계(CNS: central nervous system)는 뇌(brain)와 척수(spinal cord)로 이루어진다.

4. 기능적으로는 체신경계와 자율신경계로 나눌 수 있다.
