1. 지문 채취 장소 The places you can get your fingerprints
지역 경찰서를 방문하여 지문을 채취해야 합니다. Get your fingerprints taken at your local police station.
- 캐나다에 거주하는 경우, 지문 채취 서비스를 실시하는 가까운 경찰서에 연락하고 RCMP의 C-216c양식(해당 경찰서에 보유 중인 양식)에 지문을 채취합니다.
If you currently are in CANADA
Contact your nearest police station, which offers fingerprinting services, and get your fingerprints on RCMP’s C-216c form (they have the form).
- 미국에 거주하는 경우, 지문 채취 서비스를 실시하는 가까운 경찰서에 연락하고 FBI의 FD-258양식(해당 경찰서에 보유 중인 양식)에 지문을 채취합니다.
If you currently are in the USA
Contact your nearest police station, which offers fingerprinting services, and get your fingerprints on the FBI’s FD-258 form (they have the form).
- 호주에 거주하는 경우, 지문 채취 서비스를 실시하는 가까운 경찰서에 연락하고 전자식 지문채취를 한 후 호주 양식으로 출력이 가능한지 문의하거나 XL-216c / C-216c / FD-258 또는 호주 양식에 지문을 채취합니다.
If you currently are in AUSTRALIA
Contact your nearest police station, which offers fingerprinting services, get your fingerprints taken electronically, and ask for a printed copy on the Australian form or get your fingerprints on XL-216c / C-216c / FD-258 / Australian form.
- 그 외 국가에서 거주하는 경우, XL-ID Solutions의 XL-216c 양식을 다운로드하여 A4 혹은 letter 사이즈로 인쇄합니다. 그 후 지문 채취 서비스를 실시하는 가까운 경찰서에 연락하고 해당 양식에 지문을 채취합니다.
한국의 경우, 파출소는 서비스를 하지 않고 모든 지역 경찰서의 행정서비스를 하는 부서에서 무료로 서비스합니다.
If you currently are in any OTHER country
Download and print the XL-ID Solutions XL-216c form in A4 or letter size. Then, Contact your nearest police station, which offers fingerprinting services, and get your fingerprints on XL-216c.
If you currently are in South Korea, you can go to the administration department of the local police station and be served free of charge. You have to note that the police substation in Korea doesn't serve this service.

2. 양식 작성 Form Preparation
- 반드시 검은색 잉크를 이용하여 모든 손가락 Rolled 및 Flat 자국을 얻어야 한다. 일부 기관은 라이브스캔 기기를 사용하여 인증된 복사본을 제공하기도 한다. 이런 경우도 허용된다.
You must get rolled and flat impressions of all your fingers, using black ink. Some agencies use Livescan devices and produce certified paper copies. That's ok.
- 지문을 채취한 관공서 또는 부서명 및 해당 관공서 주소, 담당자의 이름과 서명을 양식의 적절한 위치에 받아야 합니다. (일본의 경우, 서명은 해당 없음)
Make sure the Official Agent taking your fingerprints signs the form in the appropriate section. Also, the Fingerprinting Agency/Department section must be filled indicating the name and address of the Police Station/Agency. If you are in JAPAN, Official Agent does not have to sign the form.
- XL-216c / C-216c / FD-258 / 호주 양식 외에는 추가 비용이 발생할 수 있습니다.
If your fingerprints are not on XL-216c / C-216c / FD-258 / Australian form (or printed incorrectly), an additional processing fee will apply.

절차 Procedure
1. 지문 양식(XL-216CE) 인쇄 Fingerprint Form Print
위 양식을 다운 받아 넉넉하게 3~5부 정도를 인쇄하여 준비합니다. (2페이지는 설명서이니 한 부만 인쇄)
Download the file above and print 3~5 copies to prevent any errors. Page 2 is an instruction for this.
2. 경찰서 방문 Visit to Police Station
다시 한 번 강조하자면, 파출소 아닌 지방 경찰서를 방문하셔야 합니다. (예, 강남경찰서)
경찰서에 가시면, 행정업무를 보는 부서가 따로 존재합니다.
그곳에 가셔서 담당자에게 해외 범죄조회를 위해 지문을 채취하러 왔다고 말씀드리면
담당자님이 매우 친절하게 안내해 주실겁니다.
Again, you must visit a police station located in your area, not a police substation.
Once you go to a police station, you can find a department that does administrative work.
You will be served by a police officer in charge when you tell him/her that you want to get fingerprints for Criminal Record Check.
여러 장을 인쇄해 가져 가서 2부 정도에 지문을 채취해 오는 것을 추천드립니다.
저 같은 경우는 2부에 지문을 받아 스캔하여 XL-ID 담당자에게 확인받은 후, 2부 다 보냈습니다.
I recommend that print several copies and get fingerprints on 2 copies.
I got them on 2 copies and received confirmation from XL-ID, then sent 2 copies to them.
Page 1의 각 란에 Rolled와 Flat에 유의해서 01~14번을 완료합니다. 01~10번은 Rolled, 11~14는 Flat 입니다.
Page 2의 큰 네모칸에는 개인정보 제공 동의 등을 동의함을 확인하는 차원에서 지문을 찍습니다.
In each column of page 1, complete 01 to 14 keeping the Rolled and Flat in mind.
01 to 10 are rolled and 11 to 14 are flat.
In a big square column on page 2, you should sign with your thumbprint in order to agree with using your personal information.
3. 지문 양식 작성 Fingerprint Form Preparation

신청자 정보 Applicant's information
(1) Full Name: 신청자 명 (예, Gildong Hong) applicant's full name (e.g. Gildong Hong)
(2) Date of Birth: 생년월일 (예, 2020-12-25) date of birth (e.g. 2020-12-25)
(3) Order #: 오더번호, 이메일로 받은 오더번호를 입력 the order number which is received by E-mail
(4) Gender: 성별, 남/녀 male/female
신청자 사진 Applicant's photo
(5) 사진 부착. 증명사진용(25 x 30 mm) 및 여권용(35 x 45 mm) 모두 가능.
Attach your picture. Both 25 x 30 mm(for ID picture) and 35 x 45 mm(for passport) are available.
경찰서 정보 Police agency's information
(6) Name of Police Agency: 경찰서 이름 (예, Busan Bukgu Police Station)
(7) Address: 경찰서 주소 Address of police agency
(8) Name of Agent: 경찰 담당자 이름 Name of police officer
(9) Date: 지문 채집 일자(예, 2020-12-25) The date you got fingerprints

4. Letter of Authorization - Republic of Korea 작성 (해당하는 경우)

영사확인이 필요한 경우, 해당 문서를 요청하여 작성해야 한다.
한국 영사확인이 필요한 경우 아래의 문서를 작성한다.
