I'd like to share the experience for receipt and expenses claim for delayed baggage.
1. 접수(Receipt)
밴쿠버 공항에서 수화물 찾는 곳에서 짐을 찾지 못할 경우, 근처에 있는 에어캐나다 오피스를 찾아갑니다.
Visit the nearby Air Canada office when you can't pick up your baggage at the Baggage Claim section in Vancouver International Airport(YVR).
접수원에게 항공권과 짐에 대한 택을 보여줍니다.
Give the ticket, baggage tag to the receptionist.
접수원이 짐의 현재 상태에 대해 알려줄 것 입니다. 짐을 못찾겠다, 출발지에서 안부쳤다 등...
They'll inform you of the status of your baggage. For example, we lost your baggage or didn't send them, etc.
잃어버린 짐의 정보(형태, 색, 사이즈 등)와 연락처(전화번호, 이메일), 짐을 받을 주소를 제출하셔야 합니다.
이 때, 정확하게 정보를 전달하기 위해 글로 적어서 제출할 것을 추천드립니다.
You have to submit lost baggage information(type, color, size, etc.), contact information(phone number and email address), and the address you'll receive your baggage. I recommend that you should write them down and show them to clarify.
담당자에게 위와 같은 Report를 받아 오셔야 합니다.
You have to get the report as above.
FILE REFERENCE 번호가 본인의 사건 번호 이며, 이 번호로 각 단계를 진행할 수 있습니다.
FILE REFERENCE NO. is your case number and you can move on each step by using this number.
FILE REFERENCE 번호는 접수한 공항 Code(밴쿠버 공항의 경우 YVR)와 항공편 코드(에어캐나다의 경우 AC) 및 5자리 번호로 구성되어 있습니다.
FILE REFERENCE number consists of the airport code(e.g. YVR for Vancouver International Airport), flight code(e.g. AC for Air Canada), and 5-digit number.
문의 사항 및 변경 사항이 있는 경우, 위의 연락처로 연락하시면 됩니다.

2. 진행사항 확인(Check the Status)

Access to "Additional Information - WorldTracer website"
File Reference에 본인의 사건 번호를 입력합니다. Input your case number on File Reference.
Name에 본인의 이름 혹은 성을 입력합니다. Input your first or last name on Name.
My File 탭에서 본인의 정보를 확인합니다.
Check your information at the "My File" tab.
특히, 짐을 받을 주소가 정확하게 입력되었는지 꼭 확인하시고,
문제가 있으시면 즉시 전화 및 Contact Airline 탭을 통해 정정 요청을 하셔야 합니다.
Especially, check the address you'll receive your baggage.
If there is incorrect information, you have to request correction through the phone and Contact Airline tab ASAP.
